RCG Asset Management is an affiliate of Ramius Capital Group which manages cash and short term fixed income assets for corporate and other institutional clients.

The assets are managed by a team of portfolio managers who have worked together for thirteen years and have managed up to $15 billion in this asset class. The program objectives are to preserve principal, maintain liquidity and maximize returns on investor accounts. Portfolios are customized and separately managed according to client investment guidelines. The team identifies duration as the single most important factor affecting returns on short term fixed income accounts, and actively, but prudently, manages portfolio duration accordingly. Highly liquid instruments such as US Treasury and Agency securities, top quality commercial paper and bank deposits, and floating rate notes are utilized.
