To open an account with us and start trading in MSM the following steps have to be executed :

Step 1 - Open an account with Muscat Securities Market (MSM)

The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) uses an electronic trading system to execute transactions and to ensure fairness of execution. Each investor is given a unique code called the MSM No (Unified Investor Code), which can be obtained by opening an account with the Muscat Depository & Securities Registration Co (MDSRC). 

To open an account with the MDSRC, the investor is required to fill a ‘Shareholder Registration' form, and submit it one day prior to the execution of his first deal. The No issued to the investor is then used in all his transactions in MSM.

This form should then be sent to FINCORP with the following attachments.

For Companies and Institutions - A copy of the Commercial Registration Certificate and a list of authorized signatories.

For individuals - A copy of Passport or Identity Card for individuals

Step 2 - Opening an account with FINCORP

To deal with FINCORP, the investor has to open an account by filling an Account Opening form.

The form should be filled, duly signed (and stamped in case of companies and institutions) and faxed/emailed to FINCORP along with the following documents:

For companies & Institutions

- Commercial Registration Certificate
- List of authorized signatories
- Specimen of authorized signatures
- Authorization from company assigning individual employee with the
    responsibility to handle the account.

For Individuals 

- Copy of Passport or Identity Card (as the case may be)

Once the account is opened, the investor can deal in MSM through FINCORP, by placing orders with our brokerage department.

Every Sale or Purchase transaction should be duly authorized by the client by filling the Sale or Purchase authorization form as the case may be.
